The Project Manager will support growth-focused, new product, capital projects, and strategic initiatives for Optum Financial, working on small to medium-sized projects or sub-projects within larger programs.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple small to mid-size initiatives within Optum Financial across multiple lines of business. Efforts may include internal/external partner management
- Lead or contribute to the development of project scope statements with applicable stakeholders (e.g., program/project charter, Statement of -Work, Business Vision Document)
- Develop and deliver on all necessary project, communication and risk mitigation plans across project and program level stakeholders in addition to executive leadership when necessary
- Work directly with cross functional teams to ensure delivery of a quality, high value add product
- Drive creation of schedule based on alignment by all impacted business teams and stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery
- Manage and deliver on status of projects as well as critical issues/risks, escalating to executive leadership when necessary

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of proven program/project management experience
- 1+ years in fintech, healthcare payment products or related fields
- Experience working in MS Planner, MS Project, and MS standard application package
- Proven stakeholder management experience in leadership and decision-making roles
- Proven experience working in a financial organization which is a large multinational company or similar environment
- Proficient in MS Teams and SharePoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated business acumen, customer facing mindset and/or relevant experience
- Familiar with scaled Agile methodology
- Proven ability to operate flexibly in a rapidly changing work environment
- Demonstrated solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated solid organizational skills
- Demonstrated solid written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
