EMPLOYER: Optum Services, Inc.

JOB TITLE: Senior Data Analyst

LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)

DUTIES: Produce financial and market intelligence by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports. Duties include: Provide business intelligence data analysis to support the operations of the Statewide Planning and Research Cooperative System (SPARCS) within Optum's All Payer Database (APD); interpret, analyze, and coordinate solution approaches for APD projects, focusing on data accuracy and collection processes; deliver advanced data analytics, support client interactions, and engage with hospitals and vendors to ensure timely and accurate processing of patient-level details, including patient characteristics, diagnoses, treatments, services, and charge information from all relevant state licensed hospitals; work with healthcare data, particularly X12, using data processing and advanced analysis techniques to quickly triage issues and design effective solutions; manage data from hospitals, collaborating with state agencies, project managers, and team members on SPARCS-related projects; document and deliver ad-hoc data needs and special projects; proactively assess and identify opportunities to enhance existing designs and develop new data collection and reporting solutions utilizing complex data analysis primarily in advanced SQL; monitor daily operations of intake systems, including Informatica PowerCenter based ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process, Oracle packages, incident reports, defect tracking and resolution, extract generation, and maintenance and release activities; and assist in leading the services team in a resource matrix environment, developing solutions to address business requirements and issues. Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.

REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a data analyst-related occupation.

Position requires five (5) years progressive, post baccalaureate experience in the following:

*    Data Management and advanced healthcare data analytics;
*    SQL & Query Optimization; and
*    Oracle Database.

Position also requires three (3) years experience in the following:

*    ANSI X12; and
*    Healthcare experience.

RATE OF PAY: $142,230 - $177,408 / per year
