Optum Financial is seeking a seasoned Sr. Product Manager to lead the expansion of data analytics and reporting capabilities within our Payment Network Product Team. This strategic role will drive the development and enhancement of analytics solutions for our Network of HealthCare, empowering stakeholders with actionable insights and robust reporting tools. The ideal candidate is a proven product management leader with deep expertise in data science, reporting, and financial payment processing, especially within the FinTech sector.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for data analytics and reporting solutions supporting the Optum Financial Payment Network
- Drive the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation through launch and ongoing optimization, with a focus on expanding network analytics and reporting capabilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data science, business stakeholders, and external partners to deliver innovative products that meet market and regulatory requirements
- Identify and define new opportunities for advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and data visualization that drive business value for the Network of HealthCare
- Translate complex business needs into clear product requirements and user stories, ensuring alignment with customer and business objectives
- Champion Agile methodologies, facilitating scrum ceremonies and fostering a culture of iterative improvement and rapid delivery
- Monitor product performance metrics and user feedback to inform ongoing enhancements and strategic pivots
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and data privacy standards throughout the product lifecycle
- Act as a thought leader, staying abreast of industry trends in FinTech, healthcare payments, and analytics

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on data analytics and/or reporting
- Experience leading complex product initiatives from concept to launch in cross-functional environments
- Proven experience with Agile frameworks and the Software Delivery Lifecycle
- Experience leading teams or leading product build initiatives
- Experience analyzing market trends and translate insights into actionable product strategies
- Experience working in highly regulated environments, ideally healthcare or financial services
- Solid understanding of data science principles, analytics platforms, and reporting tools
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skill
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Agile (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner)
- Experience in financial payment processing within the FinTech or healthcare sectors
- Hands-on experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and analytics tools
- Knowledge of healthcare payments claims processing, and provider networks
- Familiarity with cloud-based data architecture and modern software engineering practices
- Proficiency in SQL for querying, validating, and analyzing large datasets to support analytics and reporting

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
