TheCyber Defense Tooling teamis looking for a Software Engineer to be a part of ourdevelopment group. This individual will be tasked in helpingmaintainand advancing our in-house developed product for our SecurityOperations Center. This product's mainobjectiveis to organize, streamline, and automate work for our operational teams that use the product.

This role requirestheability to architect innovative solutions and coordinate development across multiple projects within EnterpriseInformationSecurityand reports to the Senior Manager of Cybersecurity Software Development for the Security Operations Center.Candidate expectation is self-starter, highly organized,detail oriented,andseeksopportunities to improvetheSecurity Operations Center.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develops and implement solutions that exemplify modern software engineering practices  
• Enhances system design to simplify and improve resiliency in system interactions and dependencies  
• Maintains current perspective on technology trends and applies that to personal and team capability growth  
• Actively participates in code review and maintenance  
• Champions "automation first" mentality throughout engineering and operations practices  
• Drives code reuse and minimizes redundant development  
• Has strong familiarity with many technologies and shares that knowledge with others  
• Grow and mature automated response processes in the Security Operations Center  
• Support cross team collaboration in Enterprise Information Security to drive execution of initiatives  
• Distribute and provide technical material and updates to leadership  
• Drive increased productivity through operational excellence  
• Perform all other related duties as assigned  
• Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience with software development
• 4+ years of Golang experience or 4+ years of experience in 2 backend languages, at least one of which is compiled but not limited to (Eg Java, C, C#, C++, Rust etc.) 
• 2+ years of experience with JavaScript and at least one JavaScript framework (Vue, React)  
• 1+ year of experience with commercial Cloud hosting environments including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure, specifically regarding tooling, best practices, and security  
• 1+ years of experience with Git

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with relational databases  
• 1+ years of experience with containerization tools such as Docker  
• Knowledge of Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps practices  
• Demonstrated experience leading projects focused on innovations and development of information systems and/or security solutions  
• Experience working in security operations, cyber defense, or application security  
  Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience  
  Software Certifications: AWS, GCP, Azure  
• Familiarity with network design and implementation  
• Familiar with graph databases such as AWS Neptune

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
