As the Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for investigating, understanding, describing, and documenting requirements, while utilizing knowledge base to evaluate data sets to help expand capabilities / tools leveraged by Optum Care Payment Integrity. Responsibilities include the evaluation/interpretation of business needs, providing support and assistance to project manager, documenting requirements, and supporting our payment integrity program teams where applicable. This position is also responsible for ensuring daily efforts align with the goals of the department and broader organization, while identifying enhancements or improvements, providing impact analysis, and coordinating with others. You will be working alongside project managers during any program or market implementations.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze, review, forecast and trend complex data
- Present analysis and recommendations for operational and business review/planning
- Develop/update requirements for enhancements
- Support short- and long-term operational/strategic business activities through analysis
- Assist in identifying, researching, developing, and sizing new payment integrity opportunities
- Develop and conduct market PI focused presentations across a wide variety of stake holders
- Work across Optum Care entities to develop and implement effective/strategic payment integrity solutions through research and analysis of data
- Provide effective challenge to existing methodologies, policies and procedures
- Participate in the management of change follow up on changes that are created
- Assist in documentation and updates of organization policies and procedures
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of SOPs and process flows

Required Qualifications:
- HS Diploma/GED
- 3+ years of experience in business analysis
- 3+ years of experience with implementations
- 1+ years of experience creating workflows in Visio, identifying gaps in processes and making recommendations for improvements
- Experience with payment integrity/operations methodologies and programs
- Advanced user experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio, SharePoint
- Proven solid consulting and influencing skills; proven results; demonstrated ability to identify root causes and drive solutions
- Proven excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills with demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a large, matrix environment as well as senior leadership and other department directors/managers to define business process issues, analyze operational efficiencies, implement creative solutions, and measure delivery of services
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with prepay and post pay payment integrity
- OptumCare/Optum Health expertise
- Advanced conceptual skills; proven ability to synthesize information quickly; understands various business areas and functions; and demonstrated ability to present material in an organized and clear manner
- Basic understanding of concepts and practices of Lean and Six Sigma White or Yellow Belt

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
