You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Managing and maintaining a suite of Clinical Letter Templates that could include all LOB (E&I, M&R, C&S, OptumCare, External Health Plans, Dental, Behavioral Health (BH), Physical Health)
- Partners with Regulatory, Compliance and Legal Teams to ensure templates are updated and maintained based on legal, compliance, and Healthcare Reform mandates
- Work directly with the LMA (Letter Maintenance Administrator) who build the letter template and associated logic on the strategic Enterprise Letter Generation Platform if applicable
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise on Letter Template Requirements that may vary based on Department of Insurance, ERISA and Non-ERISA Self Insured (Administrative Services Only)
- Working with individuals responsible for generating and sending Clinical Letters to inform and train on new or updated Clinical Letters
- Performing user acceptance testing (UAT) or approving results of user acceptance testing
- Performing post implementation/production validation of the template after changes are moved to production
- Maintaining templates on the appropriate letter repository
- Acting as a Letter SME to support projects and drive letters through implementation process
- Facilitating initial analysis needed on current state letters for migrating or new business in order to map to standard letters
- Conducting analysis of current suite of letters and streamlines templates when able to
- Participating in deep-dive sessions to answer any clinical letter questions for implementations
- Providing appropriate training to business areas and partners to ensure understanding of letter generation process
- Monitoring letter generation process and assess for process improvements
- Acting as a Letter SME during audits
- Working with EMT team to gather requirements, approve EMT requests, and implement changes if applicable
- Working with business partners (Product Managers, Vendors, NLT, etc.) to ensure that best practices are followed or adopted
- Ensure templates have correct formatting and grammar and are reviewed for Health Literacy
- Communicating letter issues (delays in mailing, system issues) to Senior Leadership, Business partners and Regulatory/Legal/Compliance as necessary

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience within the healthcare, managed care, or health insurance industry
- 2+ years leading projects or business analytics (preference for Six Sigma or PMP certification)
- Intermediate or better proficiency working with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely to all levels of an organization
- Demonstrated excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
- Demonstrated ability to be inquisitive and dig beyond the obvious to uncover other opportunities for improvements as well as issues, risks, and other obstacles
- Proven ability to communicate at strategic level, building relationships across the company with senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strategic relationships with internal key business partners
- Proven effective negotiation skills, removing barriers to get work done
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
- Proven excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or higher, LPN or RN
- Understanding of Utilization Management (UM) program / process

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
