The Senior Product Analyst supports Optum Bank's Lending Product Management team by translating product direction and business needs into clear, traceable, and delivery-ready requirements. This role supports multiple lending products and platform capabilities through requirements analysis, process documentation, feature and story readiness, acceptance criteria, decision and dependency tracking, product testing, launch readiness, and portfolio reporting. The Senior Product Analyst works across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and third-party partners in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities. Product Managers retain accountability for product strategy, prioritization, product decisions, and business outcomes.


You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support Product Managers in translating product direction and business needs into clear capabilities, features, user stories, process flows, business rules, and acceptance criteria
  • Decompose complex requirements into manageable and testable increments while preserving linkage to product outcomes and customer needs
  • Analyze end-to-end workflows, data needs, system interactions, integrations, operational impacts, exception scenarios, and stakeholder handoffs
  • Review requirements and backlog content for completeness, clarity, consistency, traceability, and readiness before refinement and development
  • Identify and document gaps, open questions, conflicting requirements, dependencies, risks, assumptions, and decisions
  • Maintain decision logs, dependency trackers, requirement status, source-of-truth documentation, and portfolio reporting inputs
  • Coordinate with business and technical subject-matter experts to validate requirements and close unresolved questions
  • Maintain traceability from roadmap priorities through capabilities, features, stories, acceptance criteria, testing, and release outcomes
  • Support Definition of Ready by confirming required context, validation, criteria, dependencies, and decisions are documented
  • Draft business test scenarios and support UAT planning, execution coordination, defect documentation, evidence collection, and product validation
  • Assist with launch and operational-readiness materials, process documentation, training inputs, and stakeholder communications
  • Prepare concise summaries, pre-reads, status updates, and decision materials for Product Managers and cross-functional partners
  • Use approved AI and automation tools to improve requirements analysis, documentation quality, traceability, and team efficiency
  • Support multiple Lending product domains and delivery teams based on portfolio priorities

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Product Owner, Capability Analyst, or similar role working across business and technology teams
  • 1+ years of experience translating business needs into features, user stories, process flows, business rules, and testable acceptance criteria
  • 1+ years of experience analyzing complex end-to-end workflows, system impacts, data needs, integrations, or operational processes 
  • 1+ years of experience identifying and communicating gaps, risks, dependencies, assumptions, and impacts (Adding 1+ years of experience) 
  • 1+ years of experience supporting UAT, business validation, test-scenario development, defect triage, or product acceptance 
  • 1+ years of experience managing multiple priorities, work through ambiguity, and produce accurate, high-quality deliverables


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience maintaining requirement traceability, decision logs, dependency tracking, backlog readiness, or source-of-truth documentation
  • Experience with lending, credit, banking, payments, or other regulated financial products
  • Experience with loan origination, servicing, customer portals, payment processing, portfolio monitoring, or lending operations
  • Experience with APIs, data mappings, system integrations, third-party platforms, or vendor-supported capabilities
  • Experience using Jira, Jira Product Discovery, Aha!, Rally, Confluence, SharePoint, or comparable product-delivery tools
  • Experience working across multiple products, delivery teams, or shared-platform capabilities
  • Experience with Agile or iterative product-development practices
  • Experience using AI or automation to support requirements, analysis, testing, or documentation
  • Experience in healthcare financial services or provider-facing products
  • Ability to travel occasionally as needed for project work

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
