Within the UnitedHealth Group Capital Markets & Balance Sheet Management team, the Treasury Analyst will actively analyze and support the organization's liquidity and funding, interest rate risk management, and strategic capital allocation strategies.  Additionally, the Treasury Analyst will support SCA Health's loan financing efforts. SCA Health has over 320 ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) across 33 states. These ASCs require individual financing for equipment, construction projects, or working capital lines of credit.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute credit facilities and term loan setup process and compliance
  • Work with numerous internal financial leaders, legal, senior leadership and financial institutions to support the debt financing process via senior unsecured notes, commercial paper, and other credit products to fund short-term and long-term capital and liquidity needs
  • Prepare and reconcile various reports for daily, monthly, and/or quarterly distribution to senior leadership
  • Conduct analyses and develop presentations for Finance leaders and internal review committees, credit rating agencies and senior leadership
  • Maintain debt and derivative portfolio reporting of various credit products and their related counterparty exposure
  • Manage and execute standby letters of credit, comfort letters, and parental guarantee process
  • Support global intercompany loan process
  • Assist with the issuance of commercial paper to fund daily treasury operations
  • Assist with the operations of the accounts receivable factoring program
  • Assist with the preparation of cash flow, forex, and/or debt/interest expense forecasts and conducts variance analyses
  • Assist with the SCA Health loan origination process, including preparing request for proposal (RFP), reviewing term sheets, selecting lenders, reviewing loan documents, and closing
  • Collaborate with SCA Health lenders, legal teams, senior leadership, and finance teammates to support the debt financing process
  • Identify inefficiencies and create efficiencies in the external third-party loan process (RFP process, decision-making process, legal review, new loan program setup, training)
  • Negotiate proposed lending terms with banks for SCA Health financings
  • Support SCA Health finance teammates with ad hoc requests, new loans, renewals, reporting, covenant testing, and other loan-related questions
  • Conduct due diligence for M&A activities related to debt and prepare diligence reports outlining key findings
  • Perform ad hoc analysis

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting (or equivalent)
  • Intermediate, Advanced or Expert in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey ideas
  • Proven solid attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
  • Proven solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, including evaluating and synthesizing data to support decision-making and resolve complex issues under tight deadlines


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Solid understanding of finance and economics, with sound judgment in loan-related matters
  • Familiarity with AI tools and technologies, with the ability to leverage them to enhance productivity and decision-making
  • Intermediate Power BI skills
  • Proven self-motivated, career-oriented, and accountable; effective both independently and in team settings
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic, ambiguous environment
  • Proven ability to manage structured reporting deadlines alongside shifting financial market conditions
  • Demonstrates flexibility, resilience, and a willingness to support and drive change


Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $49,700 to $88,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
