As a VA Relationship Manager/Veteran Experience Officer (VEO) under the VA Community Care Network (VA CCN) contract, you play a vital role in strengthening Optum Serve's partnerships with VA Medical Centers (VAMCs) and ensuring Veterans receive the highest quality care. This position is centered on building solid, collaborative relationships that drive positive outcomes for our VA Client and our nation's Veterans.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as a trusted partner to VAMCs, fostering open communication and solid relationships
- Provide education and guidance to support the community care processes
- Facilitate collaboration between internal stakeholders and help resolve issues quickly and effectively
- Escalate concerns when necessary to ensure timely solutions and improved Veteran experiences
As a member of the Community Care Experience Team (CCET), you will join a group dedicated to improving the community care program, implementing innovative solutions to complex challenges, and delivering ongoing contract support. Your work will directly contribute to improving access to care and enhancing the overall Veteran experience.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain positive, trust-based relationships with the VAMCs Community Care leaders and staff in the assigned VISN
- Serve as the primary liaison between the VAMCs and the Optum VA CCN internal support teams
- Partner with the VAMCs to identify top priorities and assessment of local health care market nuances
- Engage VAMCs to monitor changes in the supply of healthcare within the VA and local health care market and work with the network team to review, research, and maintain a balanced workload and access to care
- Educate and train the VAMCs on updates and changes to the VA CCN contract
- Work with CCET leadership to help to identify cost containment strategies
- Research, triage, and provide issue escalation resolution for issues escalated by the VAMCs
- Present monthly briefings to each VAMC, both virtually on camera and in person, on relevant VA CCN data such as referrals, claims, network adequacy, and network updates
- Provide monthly program update and reminder briefings to the VA Client, both virtually on camera and in person
- Travel at least twice per year to each assigned VAMC

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining client relationships such as managing client issues and answering client questions, with at least 3 years within the healthcare industry
- Experience delivering presentations to internal and/or external customers, with excellent presentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Ability to travel up to 50% during peak times
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of leadership or management experience
- 3+ years of Military and/or VA relationship Management experience
- Experience using data to accomplish goals

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
