We're driving to ever higher levels of sophistication in how provider networks are composed and how they perform. Join us and you'll play a key role in managing data about the physicians and specialists who are part of our provider networks. Working schedule: 8am - 5pm PST with flexibility. Role supports California market.
You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Update health plans on changes to our Optum California provider network, including new providers, terminations, and demographic updates
- Work from a task queue to ensure timely and accurate completion of assignments
- Maintain and update internal systems to track the status of submissions
- Follow up with health plans when necessary to confirm that the submissions have been processed and updates are complete
- Demonstrate strong communication skills when coordinating with health plans and internal teams
- Gain familiarity with internal data systems to effectively manage and update provider information

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel (experience with spreadsheets, formulas, and data management)
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate internal systems
- Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to manage a task-oriented workload
Preferred Qualifications:
- Customer service experience
- 2+ medical coding experience
- Previous experience with provider data or healthcare systems is a plus but not required
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.98 to $32.12 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
