Oregon Medical Group, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a General Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team in Eugene, OR. Optum is a clinician-led care organization that is changing the way clinicians work and live. Candidates with fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction/Total Joint Replacement are also encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will maintain a broad orthopedic practice while supporting growing demand for joint replacement services.

Position Details: 

  • Position Highlights:
    • Established orthopedic practice with strong referral network and immediate patient demand to support rapid practice growth
    • Four-day work week
    • Flexibility to customize clinic and surgical volume
    • Experienced PA and dedicated orthopedic support team
    • Access to Mako robotic-assisted technology
    • On-site imaging and modern surgical facilities
    • Shared 1:5 call rotation
    • Collaborative, provider-led culture
    • Leadership and teaching opportunities
  • Team & Support:
    • 1 experienced Orthopedic PA with flexibility to support clinic visits, surgical cases, and pre- and post-operative patient care
    • Integrated Sports Medicine Physician
    • Three Podiatrists (two surgical, one non-surgical)
    • Dedicated Orthopedic support staff, including experienced MAs, Athletic Trainer, and Surgery Scheduler
    • On-site X-ray, ultrasound, CT, and MRI
  • Additional Details:
    • Typical schedule includes two clinic days and two surgery days
    • Flexibility to adjust clinic and OR time as your practice grows
    • Average clinic volumes of 18-22 patients per day
    • Close-knit, provider-led culture built on collaboration, trust, and mutual support

Required Qualifications:
*    MD or DO degree
*    Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency
*    Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
*    Oregon medical license or ability to obtain
*    DEA registration prior to start date
*    Current BLS certification

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $430,000 - $887,500. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
