Under minimal supervision, organizes and manages the operation of the clinic/department, assuring the continuity and quality of patient care by following appropriate clinic protocols and the supervision and evaluation of staff. Assists the Practice manager in day-to-day management of PSR, opticians and optometric/ophthalmic assistants.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Works with all members of the department health care team ensuring smooth patient flow within department. Use Standard tools to monitor individual and departmental performance on key metrics
- Determines appropriate staffing mix and amount to meet routine and special patient needs and arranges staff coverage. Responsible for the day-to-day operations. Takes a leadership role in problem solving with employees and patients
- Directs work of staff, including supervision, hiring, and terminations; determines staffing needs, and ensure efficient utilization of staff. Monitors skill development and performance of the staff. Provide orientation for all new staff and coaches for high performance. Gives regular performance feedback and conducts performance appraisals
- Meets regularly with practice manager and physicians. Performs other duties including approving/updating timecards as indicated by CPM, researching and resolving customer complaints
- Communicates information to all staff, manager, and physicians, as necessary

Required Qualifications:
- American Heart Association BLS (within 90 days of hire)
- 2+ years of current experience working in a clinical setting
- Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Suite
Preferred Qualification:
- 1+ years of lead experience
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $60,200 - $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
