The Visual Field Technicianis responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service, and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical, and service goals.
Schedule: This is a 40-hour Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:50 am to 3:30pm The schedule will be determined by the manager upon hire.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Greets and escorts patients and documents visual field results
- Uses multiple computer and phone systems to fulfill patient needs over the phone
- Ability to perform patient outreach via telephone
- File and maintain medical records
- Perform referral and prior authorization documentation promptly
- First point of contact for our patients. Sets the tone for a positive experience
- Exhibits empathy, courtesy, competence, efficiency, and care
- Schedules appointments and procedures, following standard guidelines
- Uses Multiple computer and phone systems to fulfill patient needs over phone
- Verifies patient information, while documenting in their Electronic Health Record
- Track status of all escalated information requests in Medical Record tracking database
- Assists with development and maintaining up to date documents, such as correspondence templates, policies and procedures and work instructions related to visual records
- Data entry and conducts audits within agreed upon timelines
- Runs reports and complete analysis within agreed upon timelines
- Maintains confidentiality and non-discoverability of all activities
- Conducting other non-clinical activities and performing all other duties as assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- Highschool Diploma\ GED
- 1 plus year of experience in a healthcare environment
- 1 plus years of computer proficiency experience with Microsoft Office programs and Adobe or equivalent
- Ability to work full-time Monday - Friday with schedule listed in posting

Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 plus year of experience Ophthalmic\Optometric assistant experience OR 6 plus months of experience and be a graduate of an approved Medical /Ophthalmic program
Soft Skills:
- Ability to work independently and maintain good judgment and accountability
- Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from others
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $18.00 to $32.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
