We are seeking a Specialty Fulfillment Pharmacist to support specialty pharmacy operations in a high-volume, technology-enabled fulfillment center. This role is focused on prescription verification and medication fulfillment, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency in the processing and distribution of specialty medications.


This is a mostly non-patient-facing role within an automated, production-driven pharmacy environment.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Dispense a variety of medications and supplies, including specialty pharmaceuticals, injectables, IV therapies, enteral products, and unit doses in accordance with state and federal regulations  
  • Support the fulfillment of complex specialty therapies, including medications for conditions such as oncology, HIV, and multiple sclerosis  
  • May support or perform duties aligned with Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) responsibilities to ensure regulatory and operational compliance  
  • Verify prescriptions and medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and regulatory compliance throughout processing and dispensing  
  • Perform final quality checks prior to medications being packaged and shipped  
  • Support end-to-end fulfillment, including picking, labeling, packaging, and shipping preparation, ensuring all required medications, supplies, and patient education materials are included  
  • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and clerks to direct workflow and ensure timely completion of daily order volumes  
  • Assist with inventory and supply management, including ordering, storage, and handling of specialty and temperature-sensitive medications  
  • Support pharmacy operations such as filling dispensing units and assisting with equipment monitoring, calibration, and maintenance  
  • Operate within automated systems and fulfillment workflows in a high-volume environment  
  • Maintain compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, professional standards, and company policies  
  • Support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives  


Work Environment & Schedule

  • On-site role in Flint, MI
  • Full-time, 40 hours/week
  • Monday-Friday (no weekends or major holidays)
  • Rotating shifts: 
    • 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
    • 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Fast-paced, high-volume fulfillment environment with team-based workflow

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD
  • Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the State of Michigan
  • Willingness and ability to obtain multi-state pharmacist licensure with company support
  • Ability to obtain additional pharmacist licensure within 2 years of hire, including:
    • AL, AK, AR, CA, Guam, IL, KS, KY, LA, MD, MA, MS, NE, NV, OK, OR, TN, TX, VA, WV
  • Ability to work on-site in Flint, MI
  • Ability to transport, move, and handle materials up to 40 lbs as part of medication supply handling, and shipping requirements


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of pharmacist experience (retail, hospital, managed care, or specialty)
  • Experience in high-volume or fulfillment environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven solid attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced setting


Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44 to $79 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
