Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. in your time zone but hours are subject to change due to business needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Positively represent the Company to both internal and external customers; always maintain a professional and courteous manner
- Uphold the Optum core values in the conduct of work
- Adhere to Company privacy guidelines; ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Follow Optum policies and procedures and adhere to state-specific regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with Corporate departments to resolve operational issues
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for other Team Members
- Work with Hospital providers, CM's, clinics, facilities, and clinical team to manage requests for services
- Process authorizations, prior authorizations for commercial and Medicaid
- Work Eligibility report for Medicaid & Review 40-day auth report
- Resolve inquiries from members and/or providers
- Participate in staff meetings
- Ability to maintain a courteous, competent, and professional image when communicating over the telephone
- Additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated exceptional telephone etiquette and customer service skills
- Basic computer proficiency; experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook (internet and email). Attend in-services on applicable technology enhancements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Office experience
- Bi-lingual

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.98 to $32.12 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
