The Program Specialist is the operational and member centered owner of the site, responsible for delivering consistent, engaging, and well managed member experience. This role ensures programs run smoothly, facilities operate efficiently, and members feel welcomed, supported, and motivated to participate. The Program Specialist works independently while collaborating closely with managers, providers, vendors, and growth teams to uphold high standards across all site functions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Member Experience & Engagement
- Serve as the primary onsite representative, creating a welcoming and inclusive member environment
- Lead member orientations and tours, setting clear expectations and fostering ongoing engagement
- Address member concerns with professionalism and sound judgment to ensure timely resolution
- Program & Activity Excellence
- Own the delivery of fitness, wellness, and educational programming, including class instruction and coaching
- Ensure programs are well organized, appropriately staffed, and aligned with quality and participation standards
- Support curriculum development and continuous improvement of onsite offerings
- Site Operations & Compliance
- Ensure daily site operations comply with standard operating procedures
- Manage opening procedures, classroom setups, and general site readiness
- Maintain accountability for the site budget, expenses, and purchasing
- Coordinate maintenance schedules and conduct required safety checks
- Vendor & Partner Management
- Manage the site calendar and confirm instructor and vendor coverage
- Onboard new vendors and oversee ongoing performance and service quality
- Maintain strong communication with managers, providers, and external partners
- Events & Community Growth
- Plan and schedule events, social activities, and orientations in coordination with internal teams and providers
- Manage activity intake processes and attendance tracking
- Support broker and growth initiatives through event coordination and onsite execution
- The Program Specialist performs additional duties as needed to support site operations and contribute to initiatives that help members live longer, healthier lives

Required Qualifications:
- Fitness Instructor certification, musculoskeletal physiology training, or equivalent
- CPR/AED certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience working with geriatric populations
- Experience planning community-based events (fitness, wellness, social, or arts)
- Technical fluency; familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce G360)
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $23.89 to $42.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
