Sr Quality Engineer - Java, Functional and Performance Testing

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interpret and analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria independently for products within the Claims domain
• Own and ensure quality delivery for assigned products by implementing robust quality assurance practices
• Ensure proper quality controls by performing end-to-end, integration, and system testing
• Design, write, and execute automated test cases using an ATDD (Acceptance Test-Driven Development) approach
• Convert existing manual test coverage into automated ATDD test suites to improve efficiency and coverage
• Create comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and test data for end-to-end validation
• Participate in release deployments, including defect triage, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and validation
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and partner teams, ensuring clear and timely communication
• Work as an active contributor in an Agile environment, participating in sprint ceremonies and Agile delivery processes
• Leverage prompt engineering techniques to craft, evaluate, and iterate prompts; utilize LLM tools to accelerate QE workflows such as test design, edge-case discovery, and automation scaffolding, while ensuring healthcare data privacy and security
• Quickly adapt to new tools, technologies, and automation frameworks to continuously improve testing efficiency and product quality
• Provide timely updates on assigned tasks, risks, and deliverables to the reporting supervisor
• Adhere to organization-defined quality standards, processes, and delivery guidelines
• Build and maintain healthy working relationships with stakeholders and business partners
• Demonstrate a proactive, go-getter attitude with flexibility to meet changing project and business needs
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• B. Tech / MCA / Graduation (15+ years of formal education; correspondence courses are not considered)
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in software quality engineering or testing roles
• 3+ years of experience in Integration Testing
• 3+ years of experience in End-to-End Testing
• 2+ years of hands-on experience using Cucumber with ATDD
• Hands-on experience with API and service testing tools such as-
• SOAP UI, Postman, and Insomnia experience
• Experience with test automation frameworks using Selenium/Cucumber (ATDD)
• Hands-on experience with development tools such as IntelliJ IDEA and VS Code
• Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter
• Experience using GitHub and GitHub Actions for source control and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in defect tracking, triage, and release validation
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java or Python
• Working knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL /DB2 and writing SQL queries for validation
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and Agile QA practices
• Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills with solid coordination abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in the Healthcare or Claims domain
• Exposure to AI-assisted quality engineering, including the use of LLMs to enhance test design and automation efficiency
• Familiarity with advanced test automation strategies and modern QE tools
• Experience in continuous testing and quality practices within CI/CD pipelines
• Proven solid problem-solving skills with a proactive and improvement-focused mindset
