Primary Responsibilities:

  • The Clinical Educator - Cancer Services is responsible for the development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs to meet the educational needs of nursing services and the professional development of nursing staff
  • This position works collaboratively with the Cancer Services Leadership Team, and KSC Clinical Education as needed, to develop onboarding materials, training schedules, competency assessments, and continuing education curricula for nurses in the Hematology/Oncology and Infusion departments

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification though the American Heart Assoc.
  • Completion of ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Fundamentals of Administration or Certificate Course within 3 months of employment
  • 5+ years of clinical RN experience
  • 2+ years of oncology experience
  • Experience with EMRs
  • Valid and current Texas RN license
  • Ability to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of chemotherapy and biotherapy administration
  • Ability to travel to other KSC locations periodically


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in nursing or related
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) Certification
  • Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) Certification
  • Ambulatory care experience
  • Infusion therapy experience 
  • Teaching experience
  • Epic experience


Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
