This individual repairs, maintains, and operates HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems in the Pearland Administrative Building in a manner consistent with a first-class corporate office facility. The third-grade engineer has the authority to repair, maintain, and coordinate vendors as per the established guidelines of the Facility Manager and the Facilities Group.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Current City of Houston Third Grade 3rd Engineer license holder OR candidate to be test ready with required City of Houston verification letter stating 2 years of hands -on-boiler operating experiences meeting current City submittal requirements
- Must obtain a Third-Grade Stationary Engineer License within 6 months of employment date, if not already awarded
- Applicants must meet all City Of Houston requirements and be test ready for the Third Grade Engineer position, if not already awarded
- If not already awarded, service letter verifying of 2+ years of hands-on boiler operating experience meeting current City of Houston submittal requirements must be provided. This documentation will be utilized for verification prior to consideration for the position
- 3+ years of experience in medical office, commercial office or similar critical infrastructure buildings with specific environmental requirements
- Maintain knowledge state, local and federal building codes and ordinances
- Excellent organizational skillsets, solid communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current City of Houston Third Grade 3rd Engineer license holder
- Computer skills; validated skillsets in MS Office (all)
- Intermediate Building Automated Systems BAS - primarily Siemens Desigo & JCI Metasys)
- HVAC systems & repairs (all) and MEP operating systems & repairs
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $24 - $43 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
