This role leads and mentors a small team of software engineers while remaining actively involved in hands‑on development and technical design. The Associate Manager is accountable for delivery, code quality, and engineering standards, and plays a key role in building scalable, secure, and reliable backend and automation systems.

The role balances hands‑on coding with day‑to‑day team leadership and execution ownership.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Engineering & Development
  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers while remaining actively involved in coding and technical design
  • Design, build, and maintain backend services and automation frameworks using Python
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to provision and manage cloud environments
  • Review code, guide system design decisions, and ensure adherence to modern engineering standards
• Platform & DevOps Collaboration
  • Partner with architecture, DevOps, and platform teams to build secure, scalable, and resilient systems
  • Establish and enforce best practices for CI/CD pipelines, testing, observability, and operational readiness
  • Support production systems with focus on reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement
• Delivery & Execution
  • Drive technical execution across multiple initiatives while balancing hands‑on development and team leadership
  • Own delivery commitments and ensure timely, high‑quality outcomes
  • Identify delivery risks early and work with stakeholders to resolve them
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Solid hands‑on experience with Python for backend development, automation, or tooling
• Solid experience with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD, automation, and version control
• Experience working with cloud platforms and infrastructure automation (IaaS/PaaS concepts)
• Experience supporting production systems with high reliability expectations
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, Agile methods, and operational support models
• Proficiency in scripting or programming for automation (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Demonstrated ability to work in cross‑functional teams
• Proven solid communication skills with engineering, platform, and operations stakeholders
