Primary Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Architecture & Platform Engineering
    • Design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-optimized AWS architectures using EC2, VPC, S3, RDS/Aurora, EKS/ECS Fargate, Lambda, CloudFront, ALB/NLB, API Gateway, Route 53
    • Build and maintain multi-account AWS setups with Organizations, SCPs, IAM roles, KMS, and tagging/FinOps guardrails
    • Enable repeatable provisioning with Terraform (preferred)/CloudFormation/CDK and reusable modules
  • CI/CD & Automation
    • Architect resilient CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / Jenkins / AWS CodePipeline) with build, test, security scans, SBOMs, and progressive delivery (blue/green, canary)
    • Implement GitOps patterns using Argo CD or Flux for environment promotions and drift detection
    • Automate environment creation, secrets management, and configuration with SSM Parameter Store, Secrets Manager, Ansible
  • Containers & Runtime Orchestration
    • Operate production Kubernetes (EKS): node groups/managed node groups, cluster autoscaler/Karpenter, Ingress (ALB/Nginx), network policies, HPA/VPA
    • Implement service mesh (Istio/App Mesh) where relevant; optimize cost/perf (right-sizing, savings plans, spot)
  • Reliability, Observability & Operations
    • Build observability with CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/EFK, Datadog/New Relic
    • Drive resilience via backups, DR runbooks, chaos testing, and capacity planning.
  • Security & Compliance (DevSecOps)
    • Enforce least privilege and zero-trust using IAM, SCPs, KMS, VPC security, WAF, GuardDuty, Inspector
    • Integrate security into pipelines (e.g., Trivy/Snyk, IaC policy-as-code with OPA/Conftest/Checkov)
    • Contribute to audit readiness (change history, artifact provenance, encryption, logging, retention)
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years in DevOps/Platform roles with deep AWS expertise
  • Production experience with Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, and container security
  • Knowledge of AI Tools like GitHub Copilot, M365
  • Solid knowledge of Terraform, modular IaC, and pipeline-as-code
  • Proficient in Python and Bash for automation; solid Linux and networking fundamentals (VPC, routing, DNS, TLS, HTTP)
  • Proven track record running high-availability, customer-facing systems at scale


Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Professional Certifications (DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect)
  • Experience with serverless patterns (Lambda + EventBridge/SQS/SNS/Step Functions)
  • Experience in regulated environments (SOC2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI)
  • Knowledge of GitOps (Argo/Flux), service mesh, Karpenter, and cost optimization (Savings Plans/RI strategy)
