We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team as an individual contributor. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines, working with large-scale data systems, and leveraging modern data platforms like Databricks. This role requires hands-on experience in developing data-intensive applications and utilizing emerging GenAI tools to accelerate development and delivery.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data processing workflows
  • Work extensively with databases and data storage systems (both relational and non-relational)
  • Build and optimize data-intensive applications and systems for high performance and scalability
  • Implement solutions using Databricks, including Spark-based data processing and analytics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across systems
  • Leverage GenAI tools (e.g., Copilot, Codex) to improve development efficiency, automate tasks, and accelerate delivery timelines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in data processing and storage systems
  • Follow best practices in software engineering, including version control, CI/CD, and testing
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Solid experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on Data Engineering
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark
  • Experience building and maintaining data-intensive systems and applications
  • Experience using GenAI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, Codex, or similar
  • Proven expertise in data pipeline development and ETL/ELT processes
  • Solid understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling concepts
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java
  • Familiarity with modern data architectures (lakehouse, data lake, data warehouse)
  • Proven solid problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as an individual contributor
