We are seeking a Senior Azure Data Engineer with extensive experience in Microsoft Azure platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with a focus on designing scalable solutions using Azure Databricks and implementing robust data pipelines.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Data Pipelines: Design and implement data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, ensuring da, data integrity, and governance
- Best Practices: Implement best practices for migrating and implementing data pipelines on Azure Databricks, considering performance and cost implications
- Azure Services Administration: Administer Core Azure Services by setting up necessary access controls (using Azure AD, Privileged Identity Management (PIM))
- Security Protocols: Design solid security protocols using Unity Catalog for lineage tracking, access control management, and auditing
- Data Storage Solutions: Good knowledge of Azure Data Storage solutions such as Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, and CosmosDB
- Integration: Integrate downstream applications using messaging services such as Azure EventGrid and ServiceBus
- Deployment: Experience with developing and deployment using IaaC code(e.g. Terraform, ARM templates, Azure Bicep)
- Compliance: Ensure all Azure development and implementations adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements (healthcare domain experience preferred)
- Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Scala (preferred), PowerShell, Python, and Bash
- Version Control: Experience and working knowledge of Git version control systems
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations and security teams, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 7+ years in a Data Engineering role, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and AWS Cloud platforms
Extensive experience with Azure Databricks, Scala programming, Azure Data Factory, Azure AD, PIM, Unity Catalog, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, CosmosDB, Azure EventGrid, ServiceBus, PowerShell, Python, Bash, and Git
- Azure Databricks: Extensive experience designing scalable solutions using Azure Databricks (Lakehouse architecture paradigm). Good knowledge of Scala programming language
- Extensive knowledge on optimizations and refactoring of spark solutions to native Azure Databricks platform
Required Qualification:
- Experience in a Data Engineering role, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure
