The Operations Technical Support Engineer is responsible for ensuring the availability, stability, and reliability of applications and infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure. This role owns the end to end CI/CD process, manages production operations, troubleshoots infrastructure and business incidents, and drives issues to resolution within defined SLAs, with a strong focus on automation, monitoring, and root cause analysis.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the complete CI/CD lifecycle, ensuring reliable and timely deployments across environments
- Ensure Azure infrastructure is up, healthy, and operating as expected, including proactive monitoring and issue prevention
- Act as the primary owner for production incidents, troubleshooting infrastructure and application issues with competitive TAT
- Understand system architecture and business functionality to analyze and resolve issues effectively
- Diagnose business-impacting incidents and determine when escalation to engineering teams is required
- Close incidents within SLA commitments and provide clear, detailed RCA to prevent recurrence
- Enhance and monitor existing automation and operational tools to provide project visibility and system health insights
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and business teams during releases, incidents, and post incident reviews
- Drive continuous improvement in incident handling, automation, observability, and operational processes
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Solid experience supporting applications in Microsoft Azure
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines
- Experience with production incident management and SLA driven support
- Knowledge of Kubernetes / AKS and containerized applications
- Proficiency in log analysis and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Azure Monitor)
- Proven solid troubleshooting, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Proven excellent communication and documentation skills
