Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and build software in a scaled distributed environment using service oriented architecture
• Develop Application Programming Interfaces using SpringBoot
• Deploy Java code to Azure AKS
• Supervise, coach, and mentor junior and mid-level developers
• Participate in code review sessions
• Troubleshoot development and production issues by looking into the logs, and using different debugging tools
• Participate in Performance Testing sessions and resolves issues found
• Provide estimates for software development efforts
• Recommend solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of multiple available solutions
• Attend Agile Scrum meetings
• Create User Stories and Tasks using Rally (tracking software used by Optum Technology teams)
• Troubleshoot networking issues between different components of a distributed system
• Contribute to development team meetings

• Write scripts for SQL and Cosmos

Required Qualifications:

• Under graduate degree or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of Java J2EE programming experience
• 4+ years of experience in SpringBoot
• 3+ years of experience in Kubernetes services
• 1+ years of experience in Monitoring tools (such as DynaTrace, DataDog, …)
• 1+ years of experience in Log Analytics tools (such as Splunk, Azure App Insights, …)
• 1+ years of experience in GraphQL
• 1+ years of experience in NoSQL and SQL
• 1+ years of experience in javaScript

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate degree
• Experience with Spring & Hibernate
• Experience developing public-facing websites
• Experience with mock data frameworks for unit testing
• Knowledge about Content Management Systems
