Position Summary

As an Infrastructure & Operations Engineer with the IO Engineering Team in California, you will work remotely to design, deploy, secure, and maintain robust enterprise infrastructure solutions that support critical healthcare operations. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to ensure continuous service availability, optimize performance, strengthen security posture, and drive operational efficiency. You will leverage approved modern technologies, automation, and security best practices to streamline workflows, improve infrastructure reliability, and mitigate operational and cybersecurity risks. Responsibilities include supporting enterprise platforms, implementing security controls, managing vulnerability remediation efforts, assisting with incident response activities, and ensuring infrastructure solutions align with organizational security, compliance, and governance requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Use enterprise-approved AI tools (Co-pilot, ChatGPT), to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvement
• Evaluate emerging trends to inform solution design and strategic innovation
• Configure, deploy, and maintain core enterprise infrastructure systems to ensure high availability and performance across platforms
• Monitor system metrics, perform proactive incident triage, and resolve infrastructure issues
• Implement automation scripts and workflows to streamline routine operational and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and security teams within the IO Engineering Team in California to deliver scalable infrastructure solutions
• Perform system updates, capacity management, security patching, and disaster recovery execution
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, standard operating procedures, and technical workflows

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of relevant infrastructure engineering experience
• 5+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or IT operations
• 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise operating systems (e.g., Windows Servers)
• 5+ years of experience managing enterprise infrastructure systems, including servers, storage and virtualization
• 3+ years of experience with TCP/IP networking concepts, including L2/L3 networking, routing, switching, and firewall technologies
• 2+ years of experience with enterprise security and endpoint management tools, including Tanium, Tenable, Trend Micro EDR, DLP, Flexera, or equivalent solutions
• 2+ years of experience with enterprise ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) supporting incident and change management processes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience utilizing AI-assisted capabilities or productivity tools in daily engineering workflows
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise systems administration or infrastructure engineering within healthcare environments
• 2+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• 3+ years of experience with containerization and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware or Kubernetes)
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft certificates, VCP, Cisco CCNA/CCNP)
• Experience working within ITIL frameworks or Agile/DevOps engineering practices

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
