It's a big step forward when you realize that you've earned the trust to lead meaningful network management work. Take on this Network Contract Manager role with UnitedHealth Group and you'll be part of a team focused on building, sustaining, and improving provider networks that support affordability, access, quality, and a better health care experience. As a member of the network contracting team, you'll use network management experience, financial insight, provider relationship skills, and sound judgment to support provider network strategy, unit cost performance, and contract execution. You'll be expected to operate with ownership, resourcefulness, and strong organization while delivering highquality work in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Support development and ongoing management of geographically competitive, stable provider networks that meet access, affordability, quality, and business performance objectives
- Use network management experience to evaluate provider participation, specialty distribution, network adequacy, provider performance, and market-level network needs
- Manage unit cost budgets, target setting, performance reporting, and associated financial models to support negotiation strategy and network performance decisions
- Evaluate, negotiate, and support provider contracts in alignment with company templates, reimbursement standards, process controls, and business objectives
- Build and maintain trusted working relationships with providers, internal partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues and advance network priorities
- Research, analyze, and resolve complex network, contracting, reimbursement, or operational issues using sound judgment and available resources
- Organize and manage multiple priorities, follow through on commitments, and deliver accurate, high-quality work within established deadlines
- Provide clear explanations, recommendations, and updates on difficult issues to leaders, peers, and business partners
- Coach, provide feedback, and guide others as needed to support team effectiveness and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:
- Proven ability to be a self-starter who takes ownership, works independently, and moves work forward with limited direction
- Demonstrated resourcefulness in researching issues, identifying solutions, and using available tools, data, and relationships to solve problems
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver accurate, high-quality work
- Proven success building trusted relationships with providers, internal partners, and cross-functional stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a network management-related role with responsibility for provider network strategy, access, adequacy, or performance
- 2+ years of experience in fee schedule development using actuarial models
- 2+ years of experience using financial models and analysis to negotiate rates with providers
- 2+ years of experience performing network adequacy analysis
- Experience managing provider network priorities, contract-related work, or operational issues in a deadline-driven environment
- Knowledge of Medicare Resource Based Relative Value System (RBRVS)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
