An EHR Systems Specialist with a focus on Ancillary Clinical Operations serves as a liaison between ancillary clinical departments and IT teams, ensuring that ancillary systems are effectively integrated with the EHR. This role ensures system reliability, data integrity, and alignment with clinical and business needs across diagnostic and treatment services.
We are interested in individuals with clinical backgrounds, particularly Nursing, Labs, Radiology, Operating Theatre, Inpatient, Outpatient, Oncology, Pharmacy, clinical specialty care environments, or other similar areas, who are looking to take their expertise to other fields.
A comprehensive understanding of clinical systems and their use across hospital operations is integral to this role.
Solid candidates will be able to demonstrate self-motivation and team collaboration. Given the cross-disciplinary nature of this position, solid communication and problem-solving skills are critical.

Please note: There will be job-related training where there may be an expectation to work adjusted hours, depending on trainer location/availability. Following this, local hours would be standard with a need for some flexibility when working with US clients.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for ancillary clinical applications integrated with the EHR
- Collaborate with clinicians and operational stakeholders to analyze workflows and translate clinical requirements into system configuration and enhancement requests
- Analyse application issues, identifying root causes, and recommending appropriate solutions
- Work alongside end-users to design, scope, and implement system enhancements
- Configure system settings to resolve issues efficiently, adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Develop, maintain, and support critical workflow documentation, test scripts, and configuration guides for essential application functions
- Develop solid relationships with operational stakeholders, customers and business partners
- Collaborate with clinical and technical teams to maintain end-to-end clinical integrity across workflows
- Work independently, taking initiative and managing tasks with minimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively within a team

Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of clinical systems and their use within hospital operations
- Proven experience providing enterprise scale technical and application support
- Proven ability to triage and resolve incidents, coordinate vendor escalations, and support system stability
- Demonstrated working knowledge of system upgrades, patches, and post deployment stabilization
- Demonstrated familiarity with ITSM practices, including incident, problem and change management
- Demonstrated solid communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders such as clinicians, operational leaders, IT teams, and/or external vendors
Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in healthcare, Clinical, Hospital Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field
- Proven previous experience working with healthcare information systems and / or electronic health record (EHR) platforms
- Proven experience with application support or issue resolution, including root cause analysis, ticket management, and collaboration with vendors or internal IT teams
