The Technical Writer develops, edits, and maintains clear, accurate, and compliant technical documentation in support of enterprise operations, systems, products, and client-facing initiatives. This role partners closely with SMEs and stakeholders to ensure documentation meets corporate standards, supports regulatory and RFP requirements, and remains current across enterprise repositories.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct stakeholder and SME interviews to gather and validate documentation content
  • Create, edit, and organize technical documentation including SOPs, process documents, manuals, templates, and technical design specifications
  • Ensure documentation follows corporate standards, style guidelines, and version control processes
  • Manage documentation updates, reviews, and rotating maintenance schedules across repositories
  • Support RFP documentation and response readiness, ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and use of approved templates
  • Identify and appropriately redact PHI and sensitive information
  • Create and manage graphics such as workflows, org charts, and screen captures using approved tools
  • Maintain documentation consistency across enterprise systems and identify documentation trends
  • Support compliance and certification efforts (e.g., CMS documentation) through research and documentation updates
  • Manage documentation requests and prioritize assigned workload
  • Collaborate with Technical Writer II and III for guidance, review, and alignment

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience writing and managing technical or operational documentation in an enterprise environment
  • Experience conducting SME interviews and translating complex information into clear documentation
  • Proficiency with documentation and graphic tools (e.g., MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe tools or equivalent)
  • Proven solid editing, proofreading, organization, and time-management skills
  • Experience handling PHI and maintaining confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting RFP responses and external documentation
  • Demonstrated familiarity with CMS or regulatory documentation requirements
  • Experience in healthcare, insurance, or other regulated environments
  • Experience maintaining enterprise documentation repositories and standards

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
