Must have Experience working with the Developmentally Disabled or Behavioral Health Population
Shift Start/End Time: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday; starting at 7:30 AM (7:00 AM Tuesday) and limited evening or weekend appointments possible 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Administers field based Independent Assessments to beneficiaries
  • Requires daily travel to and from appointments at Provider offices, beneficiary homes, and other community meeting locations within areas served by Arkansas Department of Human Services
  • Communicates in a culturally sensitive manner to individuals whose support needs are being assessed within the mental health and/or developmentally disabled populations
  • Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet deadlines
  • Requires little assistance with standard and non-standard requests
  • Works with supervisors to solve more complex problems
  • Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet agreed upon deadlines
  • Works with others as part of a team.

Required Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field 

  • 2+ years of experience working directly with beneficiaries having developmental disabilities, preferably in face-to-face settings, as this role will be working with developmentally disabled beneficiaries

  • 1+ year of experience working directly with the mental health population, preferably in face-to-face settings, as this role will be working with behavioral health beneficiaries

  • Ability to meet any requirements of a Qualified Developmental Disability Professional (QDDP), as this role is servingdevelopmentallydisabled beneficiaries

  • Possess and maintain a current, unrestricted driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Ability to drive long distances, sit for 1-3 hours, and carry 5-10 pounds of equipment

  • Ability to navigate a Windows based environment and create, edit, save, and send documents utilizing Microsoft Word; and the ability to navigate Outlook and conduct Internet searches

Physical Requirements: 

  • Experience in mental health counseling and/or working with developmentally disabled beneficiaries, psychology, or social work
  • The ability to transport 5-10 pounds regularly (lap top computer, hot spot, and cell phone)
  • The ability to drive long distances and sit for 1-3 hours at any point in time  
  • The ability to respond quickly to sounds
  • The ability to move safely in confined spaces
  • The ability to see and respond to challenging situations
  • The ability to navigate/drive in various weather situations
  • The ability to display sound knowledge of road safety regulations
  • The ability to display a working knowledge of local roads and routes
  • The ability to utilize maps, GPS systems and car manuals

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.38 to $36.44 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
