Optum IT Enterprise Shared Services group is responsible for managing and optimizing enterprise data, voice, and video services for UnitedHealth Group and its companies. Focused on providing a world-class mix of cost, quality, and service delivery, this area is committed to building a top-tier network team and driving continuous improvement in the standards for performance. This area is also responsible for supporting IT across the enterprise for development frameworks, standard operating environments, quality improvements, and application operations.

• Oversee the Procurement and installation of new hardware, verify systems are accessible
• Deploy operating system to provisioned hardware
• Provisioning of Virtual and Physical infrastructure
• 3rd level ESX and Windows Server Operating System support
• Act as technical lead to projects related to deployment, consolidation and upgrades for Windows Server devices
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in any field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of relevant experience with the following:
  • Hands-on server administration and maintenance
  • Experience with Cisco UCS environments
  • Solid knowledge of server operating systems: Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2019
  • Server deployment and installation, particularly HP DL and BL series systems
  • Boot-from-SAN builds and HBA (Emulex) configuration
  • Firmware and BIOS updates for server systems
  • VMware vSphere build and administration
    • Host profiles
    • vCenter setup and configuration
    • Auto Deploy configuration
• Experience with vRealize Automation
• Experience with automation tools such as Chef and Terraform
• Migration expertise: P2V, V2V, and data center migrations
• Knowledge of storage configuration and management:
  • Local and SAN volumes
  • RAID and mirroring
• Knowledge of tools and solutions:
  • Tivoli (TSM, TSMVE, TSM4VE)
  • Avamar
  • Veeam
  • PlateSpin
• Knowledge of HP OneView and HP Systems Insight Manager
• Knowledge of OpenView
• Knowledge of iLO configuration
• Knowledge of Fabric Interconnect setup and configuration
• Knowledge of Basic network troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of Active Directory (AD) administration
• Knowledge of Microsoft Clustering
• Knowledge of SQL Always On clustering
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proven solid communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Proven excellent customer service orientation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with IIS, .NET, and SQL
• Experience with Snagit, SharePoint, and Enterprise Service Catalog
• Working knowledge of Linux
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Rally/Kanban
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, MS Project, Access)
• Willingness to provide Level 3 support on a 24/7 on-call rotation
