Primary Responsibilities:

• Network Architecture & Design
  • Design, review, and optimize LAN/WAN architectures across campus, data center, and remote site environments
  • Architect solutions with:  
    • Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
    • Switching technologies: STP, VPC/MLAG, VLAN, VXLAN, LACP
  • Build scalable, resilient network topologies supporting both production and disaster recovery environments
• Firewall & Network Security
  • Architect and manage Next Generation Firewall platforms such as:  
    • Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco Firepower
  • Develop and maintain advanced security controls, including segmentation, threat prevention, URL filtering, and IPS/IDS
  • Implement Zero Trust-aligned network security strategies and perimeter designs
  • Perform routine security posture checks and address misconfigurations or vulnerabilities
• SD WAN & Cloud Networking
  • Design, deploy, and operate SD WAN solutions (Cisco Viptela, Meraki, Fortinet, VMware VeloCloud)
  • Integrate SD WAN with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and enterprise data centers
  • Improve application performance through WAN optimization, QoS, and traffic engineering
• Operational Excellence & Automation
  • Provide L3 support and advanced troubleshooting for complex network issues
  • Lead lifecycle upgrades, network standardization, and reliability enhancements
  • Contribute to automation and monitoring improvements (Python, Ansible, Terraform preferred but not required)
• Documentation & Collaboration
  • Maintain accurate architectural documentation, operational procedures, and design standards
  • Partner with Compute, Security, and Application teams for seamless cross domain integration
  • Offer mentorship, architectural guidance, and technical leadership within the network discipline 
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering or architecture
• Hands on experience with:  
  • Network monitoring/observability tools (SolarWinds, DNAC, Panorama, FortiManager, etc.)
  • High availability architectures and disaster recovery design
• Solid expertise in:  
  • Routing & Switching (Cisco, Arista, Juniper, or equivalent)
  • Firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco Firepower, etc.)
  • Network security: segmentation, VPN, IPSec, SSL VPN
  • SD WAN technologies
• Proven solid analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
• Proven excellent communication and cross team collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as:  
  • CCNP / CCIE (R&S, Security, Enterprise)
  • PCNSE, NSE4+, JNCIP/JNCIE
  • Vendor specific SD WAN certifications
• Experience with automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform)
• Cloud networking experience (Azure/AWS)
