Schedule: 40-hour work week Monday through Friday from 8am - 4pm EST\CST or 9am - 5pm EST/CST.  The schedule will be determined upon hire.

Location:Remote Nationwide

You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor key operational metrics, identify anomalies, and proactively notify stakeholders of potential issues
  • Participate in weekly operational calls and training sessions to support delivery standards
  • Maintain, update, and validate provider schedules and templates in Athena
  • Partner with internal teams and escalate issues with clear context
  • Communicate status updates on assigned tasks
  • Follow SOPs and maintain accurate documentation of completed work
  • Flag process gaps and provide feedback for improvement
  • Assist with ad hoc operational needs and high-volume workstreams
  • Flex across functions based on team priorities
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2+ years of experience with medical, dental, or health insurance
  • 2+ years of related experience with provider relations, network management or customer service
  • 1+ years of computer proficiency experience (multi-tasking through multiple applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Ability to work 40-hour work week Monday through Friday from 8am - 4pm EST/CST or 9am - 5pm EST/CST 
  • Access to a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Proven ability to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical staff, both written and verbally
  • Proven ability to accomplish multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions
  • Experience working in Athena or similar EMR systems, particularly with provider scheduling and template management 
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain data accuracy across high-volume, repeatable workflows
  • Proven ability to follow standardized processes while managing multiple tasks and meeting defined SLAs

  • Solid critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to effectively solve problems while utilizing all-encompassing customer service skill sets
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, flexible and adaptable to changing situations

  • Ability to influence and negotiate through use of verbal, written and interpersonal means with a diverse group of people/disciplines at all levels of an organization

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.15 to $28.80 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
