The UHC Medicare & Retirement Sales & Distribution Team is dedicated to ensuring agents have the processes, resources, and technology support needed to deliver a solid consumer experience. This role will lead and support technology leveraged across the DTC channel and field organization, while managing project teams and initiatives that enhance the agent experience.

The Associate Director provides thought leadership, guidance, and professional expertise related to business processes, technology enablement, and operational improvement. This leader will translate data, business needs, and strategy into clear recommendations for key stakeholders and leadership. Through influence and collaboration, the Associate Director will partner with cross-functional teams to manage and represent this space, guide core functional needs, and drive solutions that support the broader business vision. A successful candidate will foster innovation, think critically, communicate effectively, and bring solid technical and functional capabilities to the role.

The position will be hybrid but will be based in one of the following offices:  Green Bay, WI; Minnetonka, MN; Phoenix, AZ; Roanoke, VA; Miami, FL; Colorado Springs, CO; or St Louis, MO. You will work in one of these offices and from home as needed.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage specific technology that is leveraged within our DTC channel & field
  • Process improvements related to the technology, taking business related requests and analyzing data to develop further processes
  • Project management opportunities.  New initiatives being implemented that align to the business vision and direction of the organization
  • Develop workarounds and influence corrections to normalize and optimize business processes
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis to understand trends, troubleshoot, enhance capabilities, and make corrections
  • Maintain relationships with cross-functional partners across Sales, Operations, Marketing, IT, Legal, Product, and more to understand enterprise needs and influence results
  • Manage direct reports and ensure their success and development needs are met

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of project or program management experience, with focus in coordinating multiple resources and managing against timelines and budgets
  • 4+ years of experience gathering, analyzing, and communicating complex information
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence
  • 2+ years of people leadership, mentorship, or team development experience
  • 1+ years of experience supporting or managing vendor relationships
  • Experience translating business needs into requirements, user stories, process flows, or technology enhancement requests
  • Proven professional verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to leaders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing or supporting sales technology platforms, CRM tools, agent-facing systems, or digital enablement solutions
  • Experience in sales account management
  • Familiarity with Medicare sales, agent or broker workflows, compliance requirements, or regulated sales environments
  • Knowledge of call center operations
  • Knowledge of sales processes

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $112,700 - $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
