Lead the design, development, and evolution of our next-generation mobile platform supporting scalable, high-performance applications across iOS and Android. This role requires significant experience in cross-platform mobile development and platform architecture, with supporting experience in native mobile technologies. You will provide technical leadership, drive platform modernization, and guide engineering teams in building robust, scalable mobile solutions. The ideal candidate combines deep mobile engineering expertise with a passion for innovation, leveraging modern technologies and AI-enabled capabilities to enhance platform performance, scalability, developer productivity, and user experience.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the technical roadmap across cross-platform (React Native) and native (iOS, Android) mobile solutions
- Deliver clean, scalable, and maintainable mobile code across platform layers while establishing shared libraries, SDKs, and platform components
- Lead the adoption and evolution of React Native while supporting and modernizing native mobile capabilities
- Ensure high-performance, secure, and reliable mobile applications across enterprise platform solutions
- Design, develop, and integrate AI-powered capabilities into mobile platform solutions to address complex business challenges with an emphasis on responsible and secure AI implementation
- Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive engineering productivity and continuous improvement
- Partner with product, backend, and design teams to deliver seamless user experiences
- Evaluate emerging trends and modern technologies to inform solution design and strategic innovation
- Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and mentorship to engineers across the mobile platform

Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on mobile application development
- 3+ years of experience with cross-platform frameworks (React Native preferred) or native mobile development (iOS with Swift and/or Android with Kotlin/Java)
- 2+ years leading large-scale mobile initiatives or providing technical leadership
- Demonstrated experience building and architecting scalable mobile platforms
- Experience working with APIs (REST/GraphQL), cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and modern engineering practices
- Applied experience leveraging or integrating AI-enabled capabilities, AI-powered tools, or AI-assisted engineering practices within software delivery environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with React Native in production environments
- Experience guiding teams through platform transitions, such as native to cross-platform architectures
- Experience designing, developing, or integrating AI/ML capabilities into production mobile platform solutions
- Experience building platform-level or enterprise shared mobile capabilities
- Deep understanding of global-scale application performance, security, and reliability

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $112,700 - $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
