The Manager, Strategic Communications & Business Operations serves as a key member of the E&I Growth Office Chief of Staff team, supporting organizational priorities through executive communications, leadership engagement, employee experience initiatives, and cross-functional coordination. This role helps translate business objectives into actionable plans, ensuring leaders are aligned, informed, and equipped to effectively communicate priorities across the organization.
Working closely with Growth Office leaders, People Team partners, and shared services stakeholders, the individual will drive initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness, improve employee engagement, enhance leadership communications, and support execution of strategic priorities.
The role requires a combination of business acumen, executive presence, relationship management, communications expertise, and the ability to navigate complex organizational environments.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
Leadership Enablement & Strategic Execution
- Partner with the Chief of Staff team and Growth Office leadership to advance strategic priorities and organizational initiatives
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts across business leaders, shared services teams, and enterprise partners to ensure alignment and execution
- Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner in developing leadership communications, presentations, and engagement strategies
- Support leadership operating rhythms, key forums, enterprise communications, and organizational events
- Identify opportunities to improve communication, alignment, and execution across the organization
Executive Communications & Organizational Alignment
- Develop executive-ready presentations, reports, talking points, correspondence, and briefing materials for senior leaders, including Chief Growth Office communications
- Translate complex business information into clear, compelling narratives tailored to leadership, employee, and stakeholder audiences
- Develop and execute communication plans that support organizational priorities, transformation efforts, and key business initiatives
- Ensure consistency of messaging across leadership channels and employee communication platforms
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Partner with business leaders and People Team stakeholders to strengthen employee and leader engagement across the Growth Office
- Support initiatives that reinforce organizational culture, inclusion, leadership visibility, and employee connection
- Analyze employee feedback and survey insights to identify themes, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Facilitate development and execution of engagement action plans that improve organizational health and employee experience
Organizational Programs & Governance
- Lead planning and execution of leadership forums, Lunch & Learns, networking events, recognition programs, and enterprise engagement activities
- Manage communication channels and content platforms that support leadership visibility and organizational transparency
- Develop metrics and reporting to assess communication effectiveness, engagement outcomes, and program impact
- Support special projects and initiatives on behalf of the Chief of Staff organization as business needs evolve

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in business operations, strategy, project/program management, executive communications and employee engagement
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience translating complex business priorities into clear plans, executive-ready materials, talking points, reports, and stakeholder communications
- Healthcare industry experience
- Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives, tracking deliverables, managing follow-ups, and driving execution across multiple stakeholders
- Experience supporting leadership operating rhythm, executive forums, town halls, offsites, or enterprise-wide engagement activities
- Experience operating with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism when handling sensitive business, organizational, and employee-related information
- Experience managing ambiguity, prioritizing competing work, and delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools: Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing communication plans, engagement strategies, survey insights, action plans, or change management materials
- Commercial business, growth, product, marketing, or regulated industry experience
- Experience using data, metrics, or feedback insights to identify themes, assess impact, and recommend practical actions
- Ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders, People Team partners, shared services teams, and enterprise stakeholders
- Comfort leveraging collaboration, reporting, and AI-enabled tools to improve productivity, communication quality, and execution discipline
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, including experience tailoring messages for senior leaders, employees, and cross-functional partners

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
