The Product Director - Clinical AI for Prior Authorization (PA) is responsible for executing and scaling the application of Clinical AI capabilities within PA workflows to increase automation, improve operational efficiency, and support touchless prior authorization outcomes.

This role sits within the Utilization Management (UM) Product organization and focuses on integrating vendor-enabled and internally developed AI capabilities into production workflows, ensuring they deliver measurable improvements in automation, efficiency, and decision quality. This role partners across product, engineering, clinical SMEs, operations, data science and vendor teams to deliver AI-enabled capabilities that integrate seamlessly into production workflows and align with the broader UM product strategy.

The position will be hybrid in Minnetonka, MN office. All hires will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Execute Clinical AI capabilities within Prior Authorization workflows
• Translate clinical, operational, and business requirements into AI-enabled product features
• Manage the product backlog and prioritize work aligned to product strategy and business outcomes
• Lead implementation of vendor-enabled Clinical AI solutions and partner with engineering to ensure successful integration and production readiness
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, and design partners to integrate AI outputs into end-to-end workflows
• Monitor product performance and optimize automation, workflow efficiency, and turnaround times using data and user feedback
• Partner with Product Leads, engineering, data science, clinical subject matter experts, and operations to deliver AI-enabled capabilities
• Support continuous improvement of AI-enabled workflow performance through iterative product enhancements

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of product management experience delivering technology-enabled products or digital capabilities, or service experiences
• 3+ years of experience working with healthcare, utilization management, clinical operations, or other regulated healthcare workflows
• Experience translating business, operational, clinical, or technical requirements into product requirements and user stories
• Experience implementing enterprise platforms or integrating third-party/vendor solutions
• Demonstrated experience using data, metrics and customer feedback to prioritize product investments and measure business outcomes
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive execution across matrixed organizations
• Proven solid written, verbal and presentation communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with AI, machine learning, or intelligent automation products
• Experience working with clinical decision support or healthcare interoperability technologies
• Experience partnering with data science or machine learning engineering teams
• Experience implementing enterprise SaaS platforms or vendor-based technology solutions
• Experience defining KPIs and measuring automation, operational efficiency, or workflow performance
• Experience working with external technology vendors and managing product integrations across enterprise platforms
• Knowledge of healthcare payer operations and Prior Authorization workflows
• Familiarity with workflow automation, intelligent document processing, or decision-support technologies
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7), clinical terminology, or healthcare data ecosystems

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $134,600 - $230,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
