The Regional Event Manager is a key member of the UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual Events and Experience Team. Responsible for managing event logistics to ensure consistency with brand and corporate requirements across enterprise meetings and strategic client events. Daily duties include strategic planning and collaboration with internal stakeholders, as well as the logistical and budget management of their events. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a desire to drive successful and productive outcomes on a consistent basis.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you'll be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end conference/event related logistics that drive a consistent attendee experience, providing on-site support when needed
- Partner with Sales, Account Management, lines of business, and key stakeholders to understand event goals, business priorities, target audiences, customer expectations, and desired outcomes
- Support the planning and execution of regional experiences and events that strengthen client relationships, enhance the brand experience for current and prospective customers, support sales priorities, and contribute to organizational growth
- Identify and implement improvements that drive a best-in-class customer experience with the organization's products and services across events, experiences, channels, and platforms
- Align with other teams, business functions, and internal stakeholders to ensure the customer experience environment is optimized and customer expectations are exceeded
- Manage relationships with existing and potential vendors, ensuring mature utilization of existing tools and roadmap development
- Maintain and build strong working relationships with cross-functional peers while adhering to established workstream guidelines for regional conferences/events
- Track key event details, dependencies, risks, and outcomes to help ensure events are aligned to business objectives, customer experience expectations, and growth priorities

Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in Marketing, Sales Support, Event Management, Business Operations, or a related field in a highly matrixed, fast paced environment
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience planning events and budget management in a corporate setting
- 3+ years of recent experience with Cvent event technology
- 3+ years of experience in a deadline-driven environment
- 2+ years of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Teams
- Experience partnering with sales, business stakeholders, or client-facing teams to support business objectives
- Willing and able to travel 25% +/ depending on business need for onsite event execution
Preferred Qualifications:
- CMP Certification
- Experience in a strategic meeting management function within a Fortune 500 firm
- Experience supporting Sales or line-of-business events that influence client engagement, retention, pipeline development, or organizational growth
- Hotel or high end restaurant experience
Soft Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, manage projects and be highly organized
- Able to assess complex situations and make decisions and/or recommendations across departments and functions
- Confident in verbal and written communication with all levels of an organization, external partners, and vendors
- Ability to connect event planning and execution to broader business objectives and growth priorities

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
