You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as statistical support on research projects that aim to evaluate the Surest product, with a demonstrated ability to support all phases of research, including method selection, data preparation, execution of analysis, and dissemination of results
- Synthesize requests from non-technical stakeholders into meaningful analyses through identification of appropriate data sources and methods
- Support the creation of scalable analytic processes, such as new analytic reporting capabilities
- Use programming languages such as Python (PySpark, pandas) and SQL to build efficient data pipelines and analytics
- Appropriate use of simple analytical methods (means, weighted means, counts) and more complex methods (regression modeling, matching methods, machine learning)
- Independently review claims data, provider data, digital data, and other health care data to clearly understand capabilities and limitations of the data for analysis
- Participate in technical documentation of analytics and results
- Support review of internal and external deliverables for accuracy (QA)

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a quantitative field such as Math, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Economics
- 2+ years of experience with Python, SQL, or R
- 1+ years of experience with version control, preferably Git
- Intermediate level of knowledge of statistical concepts, such as regression modeling and hypothesis testing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multiple years of experience applying statistical methods, especially in a health care context
- Multiple years of Python, SQL, or R experience, preferably with health care data
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance multiple priorities and projects
- Ability to work with less structured, more complex issues
- 1+ year of experience with health care data
Soft Skills:
- Ability to maintain project documentation and files, review, track, and manage study documents for completeness and accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
- Ability to interpret analytic results and provide analytic input for final reports and presentations

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
