The Ultrasound Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in a newly renovated, all-inclusive outpatient imaging center. This role requires breast ultrasound, gynecology, early obstetrics, general and vascular experience, strong independent working ability, and a commitment to excellent patient care.
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
- 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- 30-minute lunch
- No weekends
Facility Overview:
- Newly renovated, all-inclusive outpatient imaging facility
- CT, MRI, mammography, bone density
- X-ray services
- Breast imaging and breast biopsies
- General and vascular ultrasound
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and ensure proper file identification
- Demonstrate competency performing all diagnostic ultrasound procedures and operating related equipment
- Greet patients, obtain history, and enter information into the computer system
- Scan patients according to established guidelines and protocols
- Maintain logs and process paperwork for biopsies
- Utilize sterile technique to prevent contamination
- Maintain quality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Oversee all clinical aspects of the ultrasound suite, including room cleanliness and supply stocking
- Assist with American College of Radiology (ACR) accreditation processes every three years
- Maintain current CPR certification
- Observe and document patient vital signs during examinations
- Provide coverage as needed for call-outs or extended schedules
- Provide instruction and mentoring to new hires
- Ensure a positive patient experience and communicate follow-up instructions
- Maintain communication with radiologists, physicians, patients, families, and staff
- Consistently submit diagnostic-quality images and perform quality assurance on equipment and images
- Contribute to efficient outpatient operations and productivity
- Review exams for accuracy, present findings to radiologists, and communicate pertinent data
- Demonstrate teamwork, accountability, flexibility, and adaptability
- Maintain professional growth through continuing education and CME activities
- Review patient charts and requisitions for appropriate setup and contraindications
- Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and safety

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited course in ultrasonography
- ARDMS certification
- Breast ultrasound experience
- General vascular ultrasound experience
- Ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or Baccalaureate degree in radiography or sonography
- 2+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and employees
- Ability to use or learn departmental computerized systems and devices
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.94 to $51.63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
