The Central Analytics Team is seeking a dynamic Senior Healthcare Data Analytics Lead to support the project management and technical oversight of analytic deliverables for Optum. The individual in this function is responsible for the management and manipulation of healthcare data, with a focus on building business intelligence tools, conducting analysis to distinguish patterns and e trends, performing normalization operations, and assuring data quality. Depending on the specific role and business line, example responsibilities in this function could include creating specifications to bring data into a common structure, creating product specifications and models, developing data solutions to support analyses, performing analysis, interpreting results, developing actionable insights and presenting recommendations for use across the company. The Senior Healthcare Data Analytics lead will partner with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop ad hoc and standard reporting including dashboards, data visualizations, decision aids, and business case analysis to support the organization. Other roles involved could include producing and managing the delivery of activity and value analytics to external stakeholders and clients. Team members will typically use business intelligence, data visualization, query, analytic and statistical software to build solutions, perform analysis and interpret data. Positions in this function may also generate descriptive and regression-based analytics and tend to leverage expert views in the design of their analytics and algorithms. This position will also serve as subject matter expertise for operations-based reporting, oversee data analysts, and assist in the management of analytic intakes across the organization.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Write Complex Queries in MS SQL using both claims and EMR Data
- Interpret and summarize results to Business and Analytics Leaders
- Manage Analytic Projects to Ensure Quality and on time Completion
- Build Dashboards in Business Intelligence Tools
- Present analysis to technical and non-technical audiences
- Supervise Data Analyst
- Assist in the management of triage of analytic requests

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with SQL
- 3+ years in the healthcare field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Epic Cogito

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
