Primary Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Platform Architect and Technical Lead, and other Optum Technology teams to understand the functional and technical design for processes identified for automation potential
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions aligned with business objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver scalable applications
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and continuous integration
• Optimize development workflows by configuring and maintaining IDEs, version control systems, and build tools
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide guidance on IDE usage and development standards
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing for development processes and tools
• Be able to work with version control (GIT) and Jira or similar ticketing systems
• Communicate any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/project manager and provide inputs to the change control process
• Support the Operational Teams during the UAT and rollout phases
• Investigate and leverage AI as applicable for current products leveraging expertise in data science, machine learning, and cognitive technologies
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in software development/programming and database concepts, working with core programming languages
• Experience working with distributed teams
• Exposure or knowledge of Venafi, Kafka, Kubernetes, Elastic, and vRealize (Vmware Suite)
• Good understanding of programming concepts and a programming background in one or more modern languages, preferably Python or alternatively Java
• Good understanding of key requirement documents involved in the delivery lifecycle (functional, technical, testing documents)
• Proven exposure to VS Code or PyCharm
• Proven exposure or experience with Test Driven Develop
• Proven exposure to Agile delivery methods
• Proven good analytical and problem-solving skills
