We are seeking a Business Systems Consultant to support Corporate Treasury by building and maintaining reliable data pipelines that enable timely, accurate reporting and analytics. In this hands-on individual contributor role, you will partner with Treasury stakeholders and technology teams to understand requirements, document source-to-target mappings, translate business needs into transformation logic, and deliver ETL/ELT solutions using established platform patterns and standards. The ideal candidate brings strong Azure Data Factory and Snowflake experience, advanced SQL skills, and working knowledge of Python/Databricks, with a disciplined approach to validation, reconciliation, and operational readiness (monitoring, scheduling, documentation, and incident support).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Data Pipeline Delivery (ADF)
- Build, enhance, and support Azure Data Factory (ADF) ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and publish Treasury data for reporting and analytics
- Implement scheduling, parameterization, orchestration, and standardized patterns to deliver stable, repeatable runs across environments
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures and performance issues; implement fixes and improvements to reduce rework and improve reliability
- Migrate legacy relational or warehouse‑based pipelines to cloud‑native, distributed architectures, improving performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
- Design and implement data lake and lakehouse solutions supporting analytics, reporting, and downstream machine learning use cases
- Requirements, Data Mapping & Stakeholder Partnership
- Partner with Corporate Treasury stakeholders to clarify business needs, definitions, and timing expectations for reporting and downstream consumers
- Document source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, and assumptions; maintain clear documentation to support supportability and auditability
- Coordinate dependencies and handoffs with product, engineering, and data platform teams; communicate status, risks, and timelines
- Enable BI and reporting solutions using tools such as Snowflake and Databricks, ensuring consistent and performant access to curated datasets
- Data Quality, Validation & Controls
- Develop and execute data validation and reconciliation routines (completeness, accuracy, balancing, exception handling) to ensure trusted Treasury datasets
- Partner with stakeholders to confirm business rules and resolve data discrepancies; document outcomes and decisions
- Implement and maintain monitoring/alerting and clear operational procedures to support reliable daily/periodic processing
- Apply CI/CD best practices for data pipelines using Azure DevOps or equivalent tooling
- Snowflake & SQL Development
- Develop and optimize Snowflake objects (schemas, tables, views) to support curated, high-quality datasets for Treasury reporting and analytics
- Write and tune SQL for transformations, reconciliation, and performance; apply secure data handling practices consistent with platform standards
- Use Python and/or Databricks where appropriate to support transformations, automation, or repeatable validation workflows
- Establish data contracts, SLAs, and data quality checks to ensure trust and consistency across consumers
- Partner with analytics and business teams to translate reporting and insight requirements into robust data solutions
- Operational Support & Release Coordination
- Support production operations through monitoring, incident triage, root-cause follow-up, and runbook/documentation updates
- Coordinate testing and release activities across environments; validate outcomes and ensure handoffs are clear for ongoing support
- Continuously improve pipeline stability and supportability by identifying recurring failure patterns and implementing preventive fixes
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to raising the overall data engineering bar across the team
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, analytics, and infrastructure teams in a fast‑paced environment
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate
- Hands-on experience building and supporting Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines, including orchestration, parameterization, and scheduling
- Experience with Snowflake (or a comparable cloud data warehouse) and solid SQL skills for transformation and reconciliation/validation
- Working experience with Python and/or Databricks for data transformation, automation, or pipeline support
- Experience implementing operational support practices (monitoring/alerting, runbooks, incident triage) for scheduled data processing
- Proven ability to partner with business and technical stakeholders to document requirements and data mappings and coordinate testing/releases
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure Functions and/or Azure Logic Apps to support integrations and workflow automation
- Experience working in regulated or audit-sensitive environments where data controls and reconciliation are critical
- Familiarity with Corporate Treasury data, financial reporting, or close/period-end processing
- Proven exposure to AWS data pipeline patterns and services
