We are seeking a Technical Delivery Manager in Data Engineering to own the strategy, delivery, and operations of our cloud data platform. This role leads large-scale Cloud Data Modernization initiatives, including the migration of an on-premises Enterprise Data Warehouse to cloud, and enables analytics, machine learning, and Generative AI use cases. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong people and delivery leadership, partnering with business, analytics, and AI leaders to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-efficient data platforms.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Vision & Team Leadership:
  • Own the enterprise data engineering strategy, roadmap, and standards
  • Lead sales proposals and RFPs for enterprise data projects, aligning solutions with client needs and business outcomes
  • Lead assessment of client data estates and define strategic, phased roadmaps for platform modernization and cloud migration
  • Lead multi-squad, global (onshore and offshore) delivery teams for end-to-end delivery
  • Enable analytics, ML, and Generative AI-ready data products at scale
• Strategy, Architecture & Portfolio Governance:
  • Define and maintain cloud data architecture standards and security
  • Drive modernization from legacy warehouses to cloud-based lakehouse platforms
  • Provide technical leadership in standardizing Delta Lake optimization strategies, cloud data platform design patterns, and data modeling frameworks at enterprise scale
• Delivery Leadership:
  • Manage and deliver large cloud data transformations and modernization programs
  • Provide program-level leadership across risk management, change management, budgeting, and delivery planning for large-scale data engineering initiatives
  • Establish and drive FinOps governance for data platforms, balancing performance, scalability, and cost efficiency at program and portfolio level
  • Oversee scalable, reliable batch and near-real-time data pipelines
  • Enable offshore teams to deliver reporting, analytics, and data science solutions
• DevOps, DataOps & FinOps:
  • Standardize CI/CD for data platforms using GitHub Actions
  • Drive automated testing, release management, and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Own platform cost governance and optimization across cloud data platforms
• Security, Governance & Compliance:
  • Enforce access controls, encryption, secrets management, and data privacy policies
  • Implement data governance, metadata, lineage, and data quality frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards
• AI, ML & Generative AI Enablement:
  • Build AI-ready and feature-rich datasets for analytics, ML, and Generative AI workloads
  • Guide teams using Databricks AI capabilities including AI Genie, Playground, and MLflow integration
  • Implement Snowflake Cortex or other Generative AI native cloud tools
  • Enable data patterns for embeddings, vectorization, and retrieval-augmented generation
• People Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
  • Hire, mentor, and develop managers and senior engineers
  • Drive career development, skills planning, and succession
• Communicate delivery status, risks, and outcomes to executive stakeholders
• Comply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements

Required Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics platforms
• 5+ years of experience leading managers or large engineering teams
• Deep experience with data services on any major cloud hyperscalers
• Solid hands-on experience with Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake) and Snowflake
• Solid experience in cloud-native services across multiple cloud providers
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Experience enabling teams on Databricks AI Genie, Playground, and MLflow
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and distributed data processing
• Familiarity with Snowflake Cortex and native AI capabilities
• Solid understanding of AI/ML data lifecycle and governance requirements
• Awareness of Generative AI patterns such as RAG pipelines and vector-based data assets
• Proven solid leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Proven solid project management skills across large-scale data engineering programs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with automated ETL conversion tools such as SnowConvert or BladeBridge
• Experience with advanced Snowflake features including Streams, Tasks, and Dynamic Tables
• Experience supporting AI-driven or intelligent data products
• Exposure to streaming platforms such as Event Hubs or Kafka
• Azure, Databricks, or Snowflake certifications
