The Capability Manager is accountable for the end to end success of the WalkMe digital adoption capability solutions.  This role owns the roadmap, execution, adoption, and performance of WalkMe as a product and capability, aligning business priorities with execution.


The Capability Manager partners closely with business leaders, technology teams, and delivery resources to translate experience and productivity needs into scalable WalkMe solutions, drive adoption and outcomes, and continuously evolve the capability to support enterprise digital transformation.


In this role, the Capability Manager ensures WalkMe is not just deployed, but actively used, governed, and optimized to improve user experience, enable change, and accelerate value realization across key platforms and workflows.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Product lifecycle from planning through release, includes intake, opportunity identification, solution ideation, product build, operational readiness, launch and post launch performance management and adoption.  Often works with multiple partners throughout the product lifecycle
  • Identifying & determining the features of a product prior to its release, and where appropriate the user story level.  Builds relationships with customers to deeply understand their needs, infuses Voice of Customer throughout the product lifecycle. Partners with key subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify value add enhancements to existing capabilities
  • Ensures delivery of business value by identifying the value & scope of agreed upon work, managing true north/OKR metrics, and establishes a backlog of ideas/features that will result in agreed upon value.  Ensures features and user stories are directly linked to business goals (e.g. OKRs, KPIs)
  • Participates in technology evaluation and selection across the capability, acting as the owner of business requirements while ensuring the right technical tools are brought forward that align with UHG's enterprise technology strategy
  • Making sure that there are enough features & user stories in a state of "ready" in the backlog at all times.  Provides a clear description and outline of product features and user stories for easy comprehension by the development team. Partners closely with the development team to manage against an agile release strategy, setting deadlines for product development as well as release date for products where appropriate.  Participates, conducts, and/or approves user acceptance testing as needed
  • Maintains customer feedback loop with stakeholders and SMEs concerning product release and customer opinion
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years working on an Agile software development project(s) and/or equivalent experience tracking, planning, or working on software development projects
  • Intermediate Level Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, PowerPoint, Co-Pilot)
  • Proven ability to be the front face with the customer, while representing multiple technical capabilities that could apply to business needs
  • Proven ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely to leadership (Director, and VP where appropriate) and technical teams
  • Proven ability to prioritize and balance multiple priorities and projects
  • Proven ability to define strategic and tactical direction
  • Proven ability to identify, understand, and drive resolution of complex critical issues
  • Proven ability to think creatively to solve complex problems
  • Proven ability to work with individuals with high technical acumen (e.g. development teams, architects)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile Product Manager Certification
  • Agile Scrum Master Certification
  • 5+ years of experience in project/program leadership
  • Experience with training content creation
  • Experience in a large matrix environment
  • Experience operating within Agile or scaled delivery models
  • Health care experience
  • Knowledge of CA Agile (formerly known as Rally), Aha, or equivalent agile deployment technology
  • WalkMe knowledge; applying WalkMe to solve enterprise problems
  • Familiarity with enterprise change management, user experience, or employee experience initiatives
  • Comfort operating at both executive strategy and day to day execution levels
