Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead by example through active participation in software design, coding, code reviews, debugging, troubleshooting, and implementation of complex features, ensuring engineering excellence and delivery quality across teams
• Lead and manage one or more agile engineering teams responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of business-critical applications
• Drive end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives, including AI/ML, digital modernization, client implementations, regulatory, compliance, and operational excellence programs
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Partners, Architects, Operations, and Client Teams to define roadmaps, prioritize work, and ensure successful execution of commitments
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for cloud-native, microservices-based applications while actively contributing to solution design, technical problem resolution, and critical engineering decisions to ensure scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability
• Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, quality gates, operational readiness processes, and software development governance across teams
• Manage application lifecycle activities including solution design, development, testing, deployment, production support, performance optimization, and continuous improvement
• Drive adoption of AI-powered engineering practices, automation, developer productivity tools, and data-driven decision-making to improve delivery efficiency and quality
• Lead, mentor, coach, and develop engineering talent; support performance management, career growth, succession planning, hiring, and organizational capability development
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate technical, operational, delivery, compliance, security, and business risks
• Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards, security policies, regulatory requirements, AI governance, and software development best practices
• Oversee vendor and contractor engagements, resource planning, budget management, capacity forecasting, delivery governance, and operational effectiveness
• Communicate effectively with senior leadership, business stakeholders, product teams, and client partners regarding delivery status, risks, dependencies, funding, and strategic priorities
• Lead Scrum ceremonies, release planning, architecture reviews, code quality reviews, production readiness reviews, incident management, root cause analysis, and operational governance activities
• Drive engineering excellence through effective use of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, monitoring, and DevOps best practices
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and technical excellence while maintaining a solid focus on business outcomes and customer value

Required Qualifications:

• B. Tech / MCA or equivalent degree (Minimum 16 years of formal education)
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3-5 years of engineering leadership and people management experience
• Proven experience leading multiple agile teams delivering large-scale enterprise applications and strategic technology initiatives
• Hands-on experience with Angular, Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, Kafka, Kubernetes/Nomad, Azure Cloud Services, AI, Git, Splunk, and databases such as MySQL/PostgreSQL
• Demonstrated experience driving cloud modernization, DevOps adoption, CI/CD implementation, operational excellence, and engineering transformation initiatives
• Experience delivering AI/ML-enabled solutions, automation initiatives, and modern engineering practices within enterprise environments
• Experience managing production support, incident response, risk management, release governance, and service reliability objectives
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, and modern software delivery methodologies
• Solid background in Full Stack Engineering and microservices architecture with expertise in enterprise application development
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, distributed systems, security, scalability, reliability, and performance optimization
• Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across Product, Operations, Business, Client, Compliance, and Technology organizations
• Proven solid analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
• Proven excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence outcomes across teams and leadership levels
• Proven ability to balance strategic planning with operational execution in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading AI/ML, GenAI, Agentic AI, or Intelligent Automation initiatives
• Experience in Healthcare, Utilization Management, or other regulated domains
• Experience managing globally distributed engineering teams and vendor partners
• Knowledge of enterprise governance, compliance, security, and AI risk management frameworks
