In this role, you will be involved in developing innovative business solutions by creating new applications, modifying existing applications and providing post production support. You will drive the development of healthcare products by translating complex clinical, operational, and regulatory requirements into scalable, user-focused solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and patient/member outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops and manages activities for a specific product or group of products, from product definition and planning through production, release and end-of-life
- Management of the full product lifecycle with a technical focus, including the strategy, design, development, management and end-of-life of new, existing or acquired products
- Leverages market insights and emerging technology developments and trends to understand market/customer needs, as well as identify new opportunities or make adjustments to current product offerings
- Balances deep subject matter expertise with knowledge of business use cases and strong technical aptitude
- Accountable for delivering product performance in alignment with expectations, and updates changes to a product portfolio to improve competitive position and produce optimal product performance to meet customer and market needs
- Cross-functional stakeholder management, to include (but not limited to) design, engineering, scrum teams, business leaders, etc., functioning as technical expert with a fluency in development concepts and modern development practices
- Positions in this function may require a background or degree in computer science or engineering.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to analyze needs and align the product roadmap to strategic goals
- Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog, including features, user stories, and defects
- Define detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide development teams
- Continuously groom, refine, and prioritize backlog items based on business value and evolving needs
- Operate in an Agile environment, iterating on priorities, milestones, risks, and deliverables
- Solve complex product challenges and perform trade-off analysis to meet business commitments
- Identify risks, dependencies, and integration considerations across the end-to-end customer experience Communicate product vision, priorities, and requirements clearly across teams
- Serve as the primary point of contact and product ambassador internally and externally
- Partner with cross-functional teams including engineering, design/UX, analytics, and business stakeholders
- Develop appropriately detailed specifications for the product features so they are clearly understood by the development teams
- Translate data and insights into actionable product decisions and measurable outcomes
- Draft objectives, key results, and strategies to guide decision-making
- Asses value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with a maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
- Create and update documentation for any new or existing product functionality
- Be able to envision the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements; and be able to define technologies, patterns and frameworks to materialize it
- Be able to define in-scope, out-of-scope and taken assumptions while creating effort estimates
- Be able to identify and integrate well over all integration points in context of a project as well as other applications in the environment
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate or Post Graduate in Computer Science /Engineering/Science/Mathematics or related field with around 10 years of experience
- 8+ years of experience as a product owner
- 8+ years of experience in Agile or product lifecycle management
- 8+ years Healthcare domain experience
- Experience creating professional documentation such as writing business requirements, proposal, clinical requirements, etc. .
- Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills needed.
- Technical Skills :
- Experience on being a PO for teams responsible for building, maintaining, optimizing or modernizing applications on (or to) Public Cloud, preferably Azure, show-casing event driven, elastically scalable, fault tolerant and other cloud native architecture patterns
- Healthcare domain experience
- Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen
- Create, understand and validate Design and estimated effort for given module/task, and be able to justify it
- Proven customer first mind set
- Proven proactive, self-starter with excellent project ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Proven excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment
- Proven high degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in medical coding or a coding certification
- AI experience
- Cloud experience
