Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, resilient microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Python, adhering to UHG engineering and security standards
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities into enterprise applications to enable intelligent decision-making and operational efficiency
- Implement and support event-driven architectures leveraging Kafka and PostgreSQL to ensure high availability and data consistency
- Build, automate, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ensuring reliable artifact management through Artifactory
- Deploy, configure, and manage cloud-native workloads on Microsoft Azure, including AKS, Application Gateway, Blob Storage, Key Vault, and Virtual Machines, with a focus on performance, security, and cost optimization
- Establish and maintain comprehensive monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk to proactively identify and resolve issues
- Utilize Docker, Podman, and Terraform to standardize containerization and infrastructure-as-code practices, improving deployment consistency and automation
- Collaborate directly with business stakeholders and customers to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
- Mentor and guide team members through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and engineering excellence
- Drive and influence architectural decisions, ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture, compliance requirements, and long-term technology strategy
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including AKS, Application Gateway, Storage, Key Vault, and Virtual Machines
- Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, with artifact management via Artifactory
- Practical experience with containerization and infrastructure automation, using Docker, Podman, and Terraform
- Experience working with relational databases and messaging systems, such as PostgreSQL, Kafka, and Azure SQL Managed Instance
- Exposure to and hands-on experience integrating AI/ML models or AI-driven services into enterprise applications
- Solid proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for building scalable, enterprise-grade backend services
- Working knowledge of Go and Python for developing performant services, automation, and integrations
- Proficiency in application monitoring, logging, and observability tools, including Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk
- Proven solid communication and customer engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into technical solutions
