UX Design Architect

Primary Responsibilities:

• Translate business and product requirements into wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs using Figma
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and stakeholders to understand functional requirements and deliver accurate design solutions
• Partner with development teams to ensure smooth design-to-development handoff, including detailed specifications and assets
• Ensure all designs adhere to Section 508 accessibility standards, inclusive design principles, and usability best practices
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Maintain and contribute to design systems, style guides, and UX standards to ensure consistency across products
• Conduct usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and user research to identify improvement opportunities
• Iterate designs based on user feedback, analytics insights, and stakeholder inputs
• Support BA teams in design documentation, content alignment, localization (translations), and accessibility compliance
• Optimize designs for responsive behavior across devices (desktop, tablet, mobile)
• Advocate for user-centric design thinking across the organization
• Pro-actively identifies patterns in issues and research root-cause to improve overall quality
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regard to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in UI/UX design, with solid hands-on expertise in Figma (wireframing, prototyping, design systems)
• Solid understanding of Section 508 accessibility standards, WCAG guidelines, and inclusive design practices
• Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams (BA, Product, Development, QA)
• Ability to convert complex business requirements into intuitive and user-friendly designs
• Solid knowledge of design systems, usability principles, information architecture, and responsive design
• Proficiency in creating interactive prototypes and design specifications
• Proven excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Solid attention to detail and commitment to design quality and consistency

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in UX/UI Design or Accessibility (e.g., CPACC, WAS)
• Experience with accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe, Wave, Lighthouse)
• Experience working on enterprise-level or government-compliant applications
• Experience with collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, or similar
• Experience with motion design or micro-interactions
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS basics to better collaborate with development teams
• Understanding of usability testing methodologies, A/B testing, and analytics-driven design improvements
• Knowledge of design thinking frameworks and user research techniques
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Solid problem-solving mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
• Exposure to cross-platform or multi-channel product design
