As a Senior Software Engineer on our team, you will drive critical client implementations, core data transformations, and data integration platform and IRR product migrations. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and enhancement of data maps using ITX Transformation Extender, optimize SQL database performance, and build custom reporting solutions using SSRS and PowerShell. You will leverage cutting-edge, enterprise-approved AI tools like GitHub Copilot to streamline engineering workflows, build innovative solutions, and troubleshoot complex production issues across healthcare claims systems.
You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within Canada as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI-powered solutions and automations to address complex business and technical challenges, with an emphasis on responsible use of AI
- Create and maintain data transformation maps and system code using ITX (IBM Transformation Extender) to support multi-format data ingestion and export ("any format in, any format out")
- Perform SQL development, database design, query optimization, and performance tuning for high-volume data platforms
- Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools (such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot 365) to streamline developer workflows, automate recurring tasks, and accelerate software delivery
- Author and enhance SSRS reports, PowerShell scripts, and Design Studio compilations to support business intelligence and operations
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide triage and operational support for core platforms (e.g., ClearHealth, CodeEdits, IRR, UMR/PPCV)
- Support client implementations and transition to MidMarket product initiatives (DEP migration) while evaluating emerging trends to drive strategic innovation

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with ITX (IBM Transformation Extender) mapping and system coding for multi-format data transformations using design studio
- 5+ years of experience in SQL development and database performance tuning
- 5+ years of experience developing SSRS reports and writing PowerShell automation scripts
- 3+ years of experience with 837 EDI claim formats and healthcare claims data domain
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Experience utilizing enterprise-approved AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot 365) to optimize engineering workflows
- Knowledge of 837 EDI claim formats and healthcare claims data domain
- Experience with AWS cloud platforms and cloud-based architecture
- Triage and production support experience across platforms such as ClearHealth, CodeEdits, IRR, or UMR/PPCV

Canada Residents Only: The salary range for Canada residents is $82,700 to $171,900 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
